Heather
Hey! Thanks for looking us up!

I'm "Heather Jean" Skuggen, your afternoon host from 3-7 on My Country 101.9. I've been working as a radio announcer for almost 13 years now. After getting started at WKSN and WHUG in Jamestown, I moved to SE93 for 4 fun filled years. Opportunity knocked, so I moved to Erie to work as "Wilma" on the "Uncle Fred and Wilma Morning Show". Being in a bigger city, I was able to meet some big names in radio, and am proud to say I got a hold of Toby for a good 60 seconds - WHOA!  After a few years having and extra fun time with Truckin Tom and the crew, I decided there's no place like home. I've been back for about 2 years now, and having a great time talking to you, playing your requests, and meeting you when we're out and about.

I'm a little bit country, and a little bit city. I graduated from Jamestown High in ****, but  lived on the edge of town so I got to grow up with horses, and all the fun barn stuff that goes with that.

I'm the very proud mother of Douglas, a fantastic bowler and baseball player who was able to play in the 2005 13 yr old Babe Ruth World Series. He made me so proud I was so shook up for his first game I couldn't even speak! I also have a wonderful little look-a-like daughter, Valerie, who likes to help me out on remote broadcasts, so you may have seen her.

I have an email address so you can send in your requests or check out a few pictures. You can send your emails to me at mycountry1019@yahoo.com.

I look forward to meeting you, as well as seeing more of my special radio friends - you know who you are!!! Remember, I love to play your requests and dedications, so call me! I believe we share our love of country music because the stories that can be so inspiring, sometimes sad, and sometimes super silly!

Remember to be good to each other, and thanks for listening!

Heather Jean
